BURBANK, CA – DC Entertainment took the internet by storm this weekend during its virtual DC Fandome event. Trailers for upcoming movies were released to general excitement. The biggest news by far was DC’s announcement that it was bringing back its three most beloved live action characters besides Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck in the Flash film.

The Riddler

Riddle me this: what’s black and green all over, a Jim-dandy villain, and Carrey’d the film Batman Forever? Carrey’s subtle, nuanced portrayal of the Master of Puzzles and Riddles won America’s hearts and catapulted him into the role of another green prankster in Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas. We all know that it’s impossible to win an Oscar for portraying a villain in a DC movie, but if anyone came close, it was Carrey.

Catwoman

Despite s-purr-ious claims that the world’s most purr-fect villainess is a dead ringer for Marvel super heroine Storm or the Wasp, Michelle Pfeiffer made the world her cat’s paw with a few yards of tight, black leather. Seriously, most people don’t even remember what movie she was in or what it was about. The only thing anyone ever remembers is that outfit.

The Penguin

Danny DeVito’s iconic portrayal of Gotham’s fowlest villain really helped his career take wing. His inclusion in the DCEU will undoubtedly provide umbrella insurance against the franchise hitting an iceberg and going down.

As exciting as this news is, we here at Marvelous Movies are positively shocked that Arnold Schwarzenegger was iced out of a comeback, leading to the winter of our discontent.
