WASHINGTON, D.C.–Nearly a month later, Americans are still talking about the infamous “Red Hulk” incident, in which President Thaddeus Ross transformed into a hulking, rage-fueled monster during a press conference on the White House lawn. Following public revelation that he had held supercriminal Samuel Sterns in prison without trial for 16 years and used Sterns’s intel to covertly advance his political career, Ross in his enhanced state destroyed portions of the White House and caused untold property damage in downtown D.C. But while some Americans have expressed concern and outrage about the president’s actions, a recent poll shows that Ross has suffered no great loss of support among Republicans, his primary voter base.

“I know he’s got some flaws, but no president is perfect,” said longtime Ross supporter Jeffrey Roberts, pastor of Third Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. “Everyone loses their temper once in a while. And we elected a president, not a pastor.”

“Ross promised to dismantle corrupt government structures,” said Christian evangelist Graham Franklin. “And that’s literally what he was doing as Red Hulk–until he was stopped by that fake, woke Captain America.”

“This was all just a hoax by Sterns to make the president look bad and push a liberal agenda,” said tech mogul Leon Skum. “You can’t trust what the media tells you these days. It’s fake news.”

“Our country needs a strong leader who can stand up to foreign threats like Japan,” said lawyer and university president Terry Walfell, Jr. “And now, Ross is looking stronger than ever.”

At publishing time, prominent Republicans were contesting Ross’s sentencing, calling his imprisonment “politically motivated” and a “witch hunt.” House Republicans have drafted a bill that would not only reinstate Ross as president but also greatly expand his presidential powers in dealing with perceived threats to American democracy.
