THE MULTIVERSE–Following Ke Huy Quan’s appearance as Ouroboros in Loki season two, astute fans have noted that the actor also played Waymond, Evelyn’s multiversal guide, in the award-winning film Everything Everywhere All At Once. The only logical conclusion from this observation is that Quan is himself a multiversal nexus whose existence binds all alternate realities together.
“Clearly Quan is just a piece of a much larger puzzle spanning the very fabric of reality,” said Uatu, a fan and avid Watcher of all things Marvel. “He’s accomplished quite a bit during his Short Round of multiversal adventures.”
This connection confirms that Everything Everywhere All At Once is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (the Russo brothers were producers on it, after all!). And so is every other movie or show Quan has appeared in–most notably Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
These developments will likely have future implications for the Marvel universe. Upcoming Marvel films will reveal that the worshipers at the Temple of Doom actually serve Dr. Doom and are heralding his imminent arrival. Quan posed as a young boy in Indiana Jones to try to stop this threat early on, but now he and the remaining heroes of Earth will have to face Dr. Doom in the upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars.
Future Marvel movies are also expected to reunite Quan with his Indiana Jones co-star, Harrison Ford, who will play General Thunderbolt Ross in next year’s Captain America: Brave New World. Then again, Ford has been hesitant to go anywhere near Quan since his identity was revealed as Ouroboros–the mythological snake eating its own tail. “Snakes,” Ford told Marvelous Movies in an interview. “Why’d it have to be snakes?!?”
Further developments will be explored in the next Marvel miniseries, Ke Huy Quantumania, by coming to DisneyPlus in early 2024.
