CORUSCANT–After the recent release of the trailer for The Acolyte, the internet is abuzz with chatter–especially about what appears to be a Sith sighting. However, the alleged Sith resurgence may not be all it appears, as representatives of the Jedi Council have released statements calling the sighting fake news.

“It’s impossible,” stated Jedi Master Ki-Adi-Mundi. “The Sith have been extinct for 900 years! There’s no way these rumors can be true.” Mundi also added that those who reported the sighting may have been just Ki-Ading.

“Fake news, this must be,” agreed Jedi Master Yoda. “A ploy, perhaps, by our enemies, to undermine our Republic? Reliable, not all sources are.” Marvelous Movies reporters pressed for further comment, but Yoda was very short with us.

Another Marvelous Movies investigative reporter went undercover to Coruscant in an attempt to confirm or deny the rumors. But the result of the investigation simply yielded the same answer. “No Sith, Sherlock,” Jedi Master Oppo Rancisis told the investigator.

“The Sith are long gone,” said Jedi Master Yarael Poof. “Come on–what are the odds that they’ve just been hiding in the shadows this whole time, and this will all come back to bite us in the next 100 years through some inSidious plot?”

While members of the Jedi Council remain adamant that the Sith are no more, sources outside the Jedi Temple seemed more open to the possibility. “It’s certainly possible,” commented local trader Qimir. “I mean, hey–Sith happens.”

The possibility of a hidden Sith Lord makes our hearts Palpitant with dread. If you or someone you know have any information on the Sith’s return, please contact the Supreme Chancellor’s office immediately.
