CULVER CITY, CA–Costumed criminal Edward Nygma, a.k.a. the Riddler, made headlines this week when he was announced as the newest guest host of long-running quiz show Jeopardy! Nygma is the latest of several known celebrities to have stints as guest hosts on the show following the death of beloved host Alex Trebek.
Here’s a sample of an exclusive interview Marvelous Movies was able to do with Nygma:
MM: So why did you want to guest host Jeopardy?
EN: Doesn’t it seem like the perfect role for someone of my Ken?
MM: Wait. Aren’t we supposed to be asking you questions?
EN: It May B. that I’ve got a few questions of my own!
MM: Are you concerned that your criminal history could catch up with you if you take this kind of role in the public eye?
EN: This Trek to Stardom will bring me over the Rainbow and back to my Roots.
MM: What unique qualities will you bring to Jeopardy! as host?
EN: I’m really looking forward to designing cartoonishly elaborate death traps for whenever a contestant gets a wrong answer–or doesn’t answer in the form of a question.
At publishing time, Nygma was seen devising cartoonishly elaborate death traps for Ken Jennings, Mayim Bialik, and LeVar Burton, just as his interview answers suggested, to try to eliminate his competition for the role of host. Meanwhile, Arthur Brown, a.k.a. costumed criminal Cluemaster, was seen devising a cartoonishly elaborate death trap for Nygma, jealous at not being asked to guest host Jeopardy! himself. Batman is expected to arrive on the scene at any moment.
