CULVER CITY–The Writers’ Guild of America strike has negatively impacted a lot of our favorite shows and movies. But one welcome result of the strike is that Sony’s upcoming Kraven the Hunter film has been delayed by almost a year. Fans nationwide are celebrating the news.
“The delay is great news, because I really didn’t want to go see the Kraven movie,” said Harry Samuels of Texas. “No, I mean, I definitely would have. I’m a diehard Marvel fan, so obviously I have to see every single movie they put out. I mean, you can’t just not go see a comic book movie–can you?”
“Not sure what I was gonna do if they actually released El Muerto,” Samuels added.
“I was really conflicted with Kraven coming out on the same day as Loki season 2,” added Peter Lizewski of New York. “I’m sure they’ll both be equally awesome–so which one should I watch? Now I won’t have to choose.”
“Honestly, the delay is probably for the best,” commented Sony Pictures CEO Tony Vinciquerra. “Getting delayed by the writers’ strike should prove to everyone that we actually do have professional writers working on our Spider-Man universe movies! It might be hard to believe after Morbius, but it’s true.”
Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who plays the lead role of Kraven, did not seem at all surprised by the delay. “You didn’t see that coming?” he asked Marvelous Movies reporters.
“I’ll try to remember the positives of the writers’ strike while I’m crying about having to wait for Beyond the Spider-Verse,” Samuels continued. “Don’t tell me we’re gonna have to wait another five years to resolve that cliffhanger!”
Kraven the Hunter is now set for release in August of 2024. But if we’re lucky, maybe the writers’ strike will push it back even further!
