BURBANK, CA–Fans of Disney and Marvel are in for a surprise frozen treat this snowy weekend. A new short film now available on DisneyPlus is apparently a deleted scene from last year’s blockbuster hit Thunderbolts*, featuring the Sentry/the Void singing popular Disney song “Let It Go.”

Thunderbolts fans will immediately recognize the significance of this matchup. Bob, a.k.a the Sentry (Lewis Pullman) has been taught to “conceal, don’t feel,” acting in part on Yelena’s advice to bury his dark feelings deep down inside. When he finally stops suppressing his feelings, the Void emerges–the Sentry’s alternate personality who represents his fear, depression, and darkness. Once Bob stops trying to “be the good guy you always have to be,” he finally gives into the Void with an emphatic chorus of “Let It Go.”

“No right, no wrong, no rules for me,” the Void gleefully sings while engulfing New York in darkness and trapping innocent people in their own traumatic memories. “I’m free!”

Robert Lopez, co-writer of the hit song originally from Disney’s Frozen, weighed in on the matter. “I never guessed getting kids to celebrate moral relativism with lyrics like ‘no right, no wrong, no rules’ would actually turn someone into a destructive supervillain,” Lopez commented. “But honestly, we probably should have thought this one through a little bit better.”

The song’s popular chorus will have Bob triumphantly declaring, “The Void never bothered me anyway!”

It’s been about a decade since we reappropriated a beloved Disney song about being ‘free’ into a minor key version to set up a scary supervillain,” noted Marvel Chief Creative Officer Kevin Feige. “But it honestly seems like something we should do more of!”

The deleted scene is available on DisneyPlus and has also been leaked on YouTube. Both Sentry/Void and Princess Elsa will return in Avengers: Doomsday.
