BURBANK, CA – In a sign of cooling relations between Disney and one of its most recognizable Star Wars actors, Harrison Ford’s Han Solo was noticeably absent from The Book of Boba Fett. While Disney and Lucasfilm have maintained they did not freeze the actor out of the show, fans have given these claims a chilly reception.
Solo’s absence from Book of Boba Fett landed on fans like a block of ice. They have expressed their displeasure in the weeks following the limited series’s finale. @Cal.Rissian complained “We had an implicit deal! We give Star Wars more attention, and they give us more Han! Let’s pray they don’t alter the deal any further!”
Redditor LordMiller speculated LucasFilm may have iced out Solo as revenge upon the fans for their frosty reception of Star Wars Episodes VII-IX, noting “revenge is a dish best served cold.”
Not everyone was angry, however. @ClanGivens praised the performance of Timothy Olyphant as Cobb Vanth and called his character a “Carbonite copy of everyone’s favorite smuggler.”
Marvelous Movies reached out to representatives of Mr. Ford to ask his comments on the casting snub and on the fans’ undying love for his character. The actor himself responded, “I know.”
