Star Wars: The Rise of Snoke

NARKINA 5 – Andor, with its exploration of Cassian Andor’s backstory and its exploration of life under the Empire, has been generating strong fan enthusiasm. But Star Wars fans are heaping Ringing praise for Lucasfilm’s decision to delve into the background of Supreme Leader Snoke.

New Line Cinema

Snoke, our Precious reader, was not born the twisted, scarred, malformed creature we learned to loathe and pity across three highly-acclaimed blockbuster films. It turns out, he began as a relatively normal-looking human prisoner named Kino Loy.

We do not yet know the crime which sent the future Supreme Leader to the massive prison. But we do know he was bound and determined to Klaue his way to the top of the galactic heap. He may have started out life penniless, but he’d hold more than a Pennyworth by the time he was through.

We don’t yet know the cause of Kino Loy’s dramatic transformation to the feared Force-wielder. But we can assume it began when Loy took part in killing a Precious friend, Deagol or Ulaf or something. Regardless, we have a new villain with an amazing backstory rising in Star Wars, and this can only mean good things for the franchise!

Update: Never mind. Turns out, J.J. Abrams and Arian Johnson are the evilest villains in Star Wars canon.
