BURBANK – Executives at both Universal Studios and Marvel Studios have confirmed what MCU fans have known for years: A Beautiful Mind was the first MCU film.
“Come on!” Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said in a recent interview. “You have a genius playboy with the voice of Paul Bettany in his head giving him advice and pointers. John Nash was basically a less-rich Tony Stark.”
Actor Ed Harris was equally blunt. “Paul Bettany was literally a Vision. How much more obvious could we make it?”
The idea for including A Beautiful Mind in MCU canon was originally Russel Crowe’s. He described it as coming to him out of the blue in a lightning bolt of inspiration.
