BURBANK, CA–Within two seasons, The Mandalorian has taken the internet by storm, and the fans are hungry for more. Reports are circling of a planned series of movies and shows focusing on some of The Mandalorian‘s more minor breakout characters. Here’s what we know so far.

The following will contain SPOILERS for The Mandalorian season 2. Proceed with caution!

Film poster showing Luke Skywalker heroically holding a lightsaber in the air, Princess Leia kneeling beside him, and R2-D2 and C-3PO behind them. A figure of the head of Darth Vader and the Death Star with several starfighters heading towards it are shown in the background. Atop the image is the tag line of the movie "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away..." On the bottom right is the film's logo, and the credits and the production details below that.

The Jedi. Viewers clapped and cheered when an unnamed Jedi rescued baby Grogu in the season 2 finale. Now, plans have been revealed for a trilogy of movies focusing on this hero’s backstory, showing his journey from humble beginnings to the capable warrior we saw onscreen. Rumors speculate that these films will also chronicle the fall of the villainous Empire, and might even feature another Jedi of Grogu’s same species and likeness. Fans everywhere are eager for the return of the Jedi. In fact, that could even be a good name for one of the movies!

The clones. While fans had speculated up to this point, the season 2 finale confirmed the presence of cloning in this sci-fi universe. Dr. Pershing was identified as a cloning scientist, and even this season’s new ally Boba Fett was said to be a clone. Fans can expect to see a prequel movie exploring the origins of the clones in this galaxy, and featuring a young Boba Fett with his father (or donor), a Mandalorian foundling. This film is sure to be a hit, so long as its writing, acting, dialogue, and any romantic subplots are handled with as much skill and excellence as Jon Favreau has handled this show.

Ahsoka. Everyone loved seeing Ahsoka, Rosario Dawson’s strong and tough character, in episode 5 of this season. By popular demand, she’ll now be explored in a spin-off show too! Disney has announced a 7-season animated series for children, focusing largely on Ahsoka and her Jedi training before the rise of the Empire. Following his successful involvement with The Mandalorian, Dave Filoni will direct, and Ashley Eckstein will voice Ahsoka.
