BURBANK, CA–Disney executives have announced some major directorial changes to the upcoming Doctor Strange sequel. Previously titled Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the sequel has been renamed The Mysterious Benedict Society. The movie features Benedict Cumberbatch (Strange) and Benedict Wong (Wong) on an adventure of magical mystery.
The film’s plot will feature both Benedicts being recruited by the mysterious Mr. Benedict (Tony Hale), a real crime-Buster who tries to have villains Arrested in a startling Development. The trio of Benedicts will then team up with the Catholic Order of Saint Benedict to stop the Mad Hatter (Benedict Samuel) and a time-traveling Benedict Arnold from destroying America.
“This movie is really Blessed, and the new direction is Well Spoken of by everyone,” commented Benefit Cummerbund in an interview.
Director Sam Raimi considered changing his first name to Benedict for this project, but ultimately declined, already having the best possible first name in the world.
