BURBANK, CA–Classic Marvel villain M.O.D.O.K. (Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing) has joined the cast of the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Comedian Patton Oswalt, who portrayed M.O.D.O.K. in the eponymous Hulu animated series, will reprise his role on the big screen.

“It’s truly an honor to be able to play M.O.D.O.K. in the MCU,” Oswalt told Marvelous Movies in an interview. “I just hope all the prestige doesn’t give me a big head.”

While the character has traditionally been portrayed as an evil scientific genius, sources suggest that this adaptation of M.O.D.O.K will be a small arms dealer.

Oswalt will add M.O.D.O.K. to his growing repertoire of MCU characters portrayed, which already includes Erik Koenig in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Billy Koenig, Pip the Troll in The Eternals, Sam Koenig, Thurston Koenig, Ernest Koenig, and Hedges in Blade: Trinity. Some speculate that Oswalt himself may be the true M.O.D.O.C. (Marvel Organism Designed Only for Characters).

M.O.D.O.K will menace Ant-Man and the Wasp alongside Kang, a time-traveling warlord. Fans suspect that Kang’s interfering with alternate timelines will be the cause of Marvel’s animated Hulu-verse coming into the MCU. Hit-Monkey is also expected to appear.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania premieres in February.
