BURBANK, CA–The upcoming Marvel show Moon Knight has been renamed to Space Station Knight ahead of its release, according to our sources at Disney.
The name change occurred during filming at Disney Studios when the Moon Knight cast was filming in close quarters to the cast of Kenobi. Upon noticing Oscar Isaac’s Moon Knight costume, actor Ewan McGregor declared “That’s no moon!” and called for the more accurate name change.
“So we instantly decided to rewrite the whole script and set the entire thing in space,” explained Kevin Feige, Marvel’s Chief Creative Officer. “But I’m honestly a little concerned. Oscar Isaac has never been in a good, multi-episode story involving knights in space before.”
With the announcement of Space Station Knight, the burning question on everyone’s minds is, of course, whether the series will also serve as an introduction to the character of Rom: Spaceknight. “Who?” asked Feige when pressed for comment.
Space Station Knight premieres on DisneyPlus in 2022. If the series bombs, then at least Disney can still build a second one with the exact same weaknesses.
