BURBANK, CA–At long last, casting and plot details have been revealed for Marvel’s upcoming Fantastic Four reboot! Sources at Marvel now tell us that the new film will be entitled Fantastic Four: The Secrets of Doombledore.

The cast of the reboot is as follows:

• Eddie Redmayne as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic
• Katherine Waterston as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman
• Ezra Miller as Johnny Storm/Human Torch
• Dan Fogler as Ben Grimm/The Thing
• Johnny Depp as Dr. Doom

Fans have expressed some concern about the casting choices, claiming that Redmayne’s role is a bit of a stretch for him, and Fogler as the Thing feels like a rocky start for the franchise. While Depp’s career no longer seems doomed like it once did, Miller’s controversial casting is sure to provoke flames online. However, audiences have also noted that they’ve never before seen Waterston in a superhero role, and they’re looking forward to seeing her in one now.

“We’re going in a different direction with this movie,” admitted Kevin Feige, Marvel’s Chief Creative Officer. “But we really wanted to draw inspiration from some of the most popular fantasy stories of our day. After all, it worked with those Harry Osborn books!”

“And everyone on the internet loves the writer who was behind this story,” Feige continued. “Pretty soon, we’ll be Rowling in the dough.”

The reboot will be followed by at least two sequels: Fantastic Four and Where to Find Them, exploring where the heck this team has been in the Marvel universe this whole time, and Fantastic Four: The Crimes of Galactus.

Fantastic Four: The Secrets of Doombledore hits theaters in 2025.
