BURBANK, CA — In a dustup with Marvel Studios executives, Director Chloé Zhao has been forced to cut the runtime of Eternals, the third movie in the MCU’s Phase 4.
“Chloé wanted the film to run for fifteen hours,” a source close to the director said upon condition of anonymity. “I mean, how can any self-respecting studio name a movie Eternals, then turn around and have it run for less than twelve hours? It’s an insult to the fans!”
“Can you imagine a superhero movie with a run time longer than three hours?” an exasperated Marvel Studios executive asked when we reached out to the studio for a comment. “It would lead the audience directly into an entire Multiverse of Madness! Unless it was Avengers: Endgame, of course.“
