Real MCU Fan: “Only the Shows I Like Are Canon”

ATLANTA, GA–The debate over which Marvel shows are and aren’t canon has finally been settled! Conclusively clearing up all confusion, Marvel Cinematic Universe fan Ken Majors commented on social media that “only the shows I like are canon.” Our Marvelous Movies reporters tracked down Majors for further elaboration.

“Yeah, I don’t think Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. should count, because I never really got into it,” Majors explained. “Plus, didn’t Coulson die in The Avengers?”

Daredevil and all those shows don’t count either,” Majors continued. “I never watched those, and I hear they’re even leaving Netflix soon. I mean, it’s not like we’ll ever see any of those characters in the MCU again–right?”

“The only Marvel shows that are canon are the DisneyPlus ones from this past year,” Majors confirmed. “They were all great–especially Loki. Plus, there was there were these two really brief scenes in Hawkeye and WandaVision that I decided must mean Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. never happened. So there.”

When asked if he also had any special insights into the canonicity of other popular sci-fi franchises, Majors was more than glad to share his unprecedented wisdom. “Any Star Wars movie after 1980 isn’t really Star Wars,” he established. “All the true fans know that.
